Eastern Eden is a very beautiful example of early Tree of Life design wallpaper made in China for the East India Company who sold it to the great houses of Europe. It was painted circa 1800 in the region of Canton. We were lucky enough to find it in a chateau in France where we scanned it off the walls. Enormous work went into restoring the files to give the decor its former glory.
